Welcome to Nick and Celina Van Newkirk’s Family Page.
We are Nick, Celina, Lorenzo, and hopefully, we will be adding another beautiful baby soon. Celina works as a commodities broker and Nick is an investor.
Celina’s passions are wide ranging. She loves playing the guitar, having been in a band in Chicago. She also stays fit by going to the gym regularly, as well as playing tennis. She is a big fan of ‘home-cooked meals’ so is a natural both on the grill and in the kitchen, but her biggest passion is her son, Lorenzo.
About Celina
Celina grew up on a dairy farm in Argentina, just outside of Buenos Aires with her two brothers and sister. After spending her early years in a country school with only 8 kids, her family moved to Nueve De Julio where she graduated high school. From there, she went to college at the University of Buenos Aires and eventually made her way to Chicago where she worked as a commodities broker for RJ O’brien. She loves her career and has gotten opportunities to speak at many conferences as well as being an occasional guest on CNN international to speak about the commodities market.
Nick’s passions are not wide ranging. He loves spending time with family, playing golf with his friends, and watching Buffalo Bills football games.
About Nick Van Newkirk
Nick Van Newkirk grew up on a cattle ranch in Nebraska with his brother and sister. He went to school at the University of Nebraska. His first passion was sports, whether football or basketball, but the reality of being an average athlete hit hard once high school finished. While only a short part of Nick’s life, poker was a passion of Nick’s in University as well as providing capital to make investments after the ’08 financial crisis hit.

Nick Van Newkirk
Nick Van Newkirk grew up on a cattle ranch in Nebraska with his brother and sister. He went to school at the University of Nebraska. He loves golf. He plays more golf than Celina thinks he should play.
Celina

Lorenzo
Lorenzo is our first son, a ‘covid baby’, and the love of our life. He loves his family. He is our everything and we feel so blessed to spend every day with him. Celina is currently pregnant with our second child due in May and we couldn’t be more excited.
